Demise of Mrs. Susan Thomas

The St. Thomas Orthodox Congregation of South Africa expresses its deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members of Late Mrs. Susan Thomas (73), who was popularly known as Valsa.

Along with her husband Mr. Thomas Mathew (Thankachan), she was based in Mthatha for several years where she worked as a teacher. After their retirement in 2010, they moved to Johannesburg where they have lived since.

'Aunty Valsa' was a very dear person to one and all. She was one who was always appreciative and supportive of the Parish's ministry. A very kind and loving person.

She passed away on 16 July 2020 and was burried at the Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg on 18 July 2020. A memorial was held for her via ZOOM on Sunday 19 July 2020 at 6pm SAST.
